The Warrior – I
The war took a lot from him… a lot
But her love is what he finally got.
What more did he need – nothing
And so with all the love in his soul, to the princess he did cling.
Together they built their utopian home
Holding hands on the roads they did roam
High on the wine of love and romance
They happily in the garden did dance.
Happy and content they were
For pure and gratifying was the love they did share
Complete felt the warrior in her arms
Fulfilled felt the princess in his…
The war wounds did no longer hurt
For he had finally got, what his sufferings were worth.
Down his guard he did let
His armour and sword aside he did set
Them he would need no more
A happy life ahead he felt was in store.
Very well expressed ... (Y)
