The Warrior – VI

Across the house he limped around,
But nowhere was his “little poetry” found.
All that he could see
Was a letter answering his eyes’ plea!

“You made me suffer
You made me cry
You broke my trust
You broke my pride
You deserted me
You stole my innocence
You brought between us the distance
No matter how hard you try
I shall no more be yours till the day I die.”

His blood ran cold
His wounds he could feel no more
His legs could no longer hold
And thus the warrior fell on the floor.

“I have a new companion found
To answer you I am no longer bound
He was there when you were not
I like him and he loves me a lot.”

“He has traits I saw in none before,
He has touched my heart’s core
I feel for him and care
To talk of you and me anymore, you better not dare.”
