The Warrior – II

But destiny had her own plans
And looked at them with an evil glance
Not long did the warrior’s smiles last
Before she unleashed the shadows of the past.

The shadows were masters of deception
And powerful beyond the warrior’s perception
While in the arms of his princess he slept peacefully
The shadows worked their way in skilfully.

Before the warrior could even realise
They slowly poisoned his wise…
The princess however could sense
The darkness getting dense…

She expressed her concern when…
The warrior dismissed her worries then…
She trusted and loved the warrior great
And hence decided not to doubt on her mate.

Some more time passed by
He noticed, she would often quietly cry;
The reason he failed to know
Unaware of the seeds the shadows did sow.
